About Us

Guyra Rural Services commenced in December 1989 when the previous owners Scot and Aileen MacDonald acquired the potato and seed business from Kirks Guyra. The business operates out of the 'Bean Shed' on the New England Highway. This site has had an agricultural services enterprise since 1942 when the Department of Defence established a navy bean processing plant for the war effort.

From 1989 and the next 20 years, Guyra Rural Services expanded into a full service agricultural supplies business specialising in pasture seeds, fertilisers and stock feed. In 2008, Elders Rural returned to the Guyra district and now operates the retail section of the business which Guyra Rural Services had started.

In 2010 Campbell Wolfenden came on board as manager and moved the business along the Regenerative Agriculture path working from the soil up with clients. Emphasis is put on sourcing and supplying biologically friendly agricultural inputs. Campbell purchased the business in September 2023 and is continuing with a focus on Regenerative Agriculture.
